Ugly, but a reliable exotic.

Panoz: Because sometimes you just need a car that sounds like a bear fucking a hornet’s nest.

Yes! (Although I love the old front engine LMP1 cars too)

You can still buy a new one. Also, used Esperante race cars are cheap.

Ugly? Fight me. Just unconventional.

It was actually amazing seeing this in person.

It’s weird seeing a Panoz on track with cars made in the last couple of years.

Things change, things stay the same :)

Saw an Esperante on the road one day going to the farmers market, and I nearly wiped out a bus full of kids, two cabbage stands, and the ISS, because I nearly snapped my neck doing a double take at the car.
For how nice looking these cars are, it’s a shame they’re so rare here!

I guess that buying one is the cheapest thing you can do with it. Maintaining it...

They all have Ford small blocks or LS’s and Tremec transmissions.

Silly me for my guesses and assumptions. Still, if any Panoz produced parts had to be replaced I IMAGINE it would be difficult and or expensive. (I stubbornly persist in my uninformed spewing of ideas.)

Well, collision repair would be no picnic. For other stuff like radio, knobs, switches, etc, I have to assume they would source it from someone else.
